The Artist

The Artist.jpg

This man of experience sits alone, surrounded by nature and creates. His textured hands gracefully move across the page, leaving the marks that life left on his soul. The very same experience that will create a vision that only he understands.

He may be famous, maybe anonymous, maybe just himself, but today he is investing his time in what is important to him—a simple expression of self, the meditative process of creation.

A beautiful process where the mind can rest and the soul is set free to create. Yet create without self-doubt and judgment, without rules, rights, and wrongs, and without any chance of failure.

A moment of rest from the rules we all embrace.

I sat for a while, watching this man, and although we didn’t speak, I believe I heard his message.

“Is it really important that people see what you create? Or is just the beautiful act of creation enough?”
