Sitting Quietly With Wisdom
I have to admit that I don't know Leang Kiew particularly well. We don't share a language, so sitting, talking, and experiencing life through each other's eyes does not happen easily.
Yet despite these factors, I feel strongly connected to this beautiful soul, like we have met before, have shared experiences, known each other's pain, each other's joy.
Be that through a simple smile, a helping hand, or a shared understanding; we respect, connect, share, and love.
This is important to me because, just like you, I live in a world that worships at the altar of significance—embracing popularity and influence as more valuable than reflective experience.
I have to admit that the louder the message, the more I withdraw. As if unknowingly drawn to the quiet moments of life that allow connections to grow naturally, slowly, for the benefit of all.
I believe without knowing, without intent; I search for life experiences that can be felt across the room, connecting two souls beyond language that can only be heard by those listening and witnessed by the eyes of the beholder.
The lessons I learn in the moments where life is quietest are the gems I hold most dear. It reminds me that experience is a beautiful teacher and can often be found in the silence shared by two present people.
Thank you, Leang Kiew.
