The Last Dance

THE LAST DANCE.jpg

The sun rose for me today and accompanied by the warmth of the golden light came a thought that I was not quite ready for in truth.

LOVE

I will not often put my camera down, but this thought, this question, this subject needed my attention, as I needed it.

Love is the strangest beast I have ever had the chance to dance with. A mesmerising embrace, able to elevate you to heights that previously never existed; and expose lows you’ve only considered in the darkest of dreams.

An utterly confusing and complicated concept of our limited design. It can teach selfish creatures how to give and their selfless equal how to take. But it is always a balancing act on what seems like a moving slack-line high above the ground.

My concepts of love will never be popular; they will never be storybook endings; as I like to consider both sides of this carefully poised blade carefully.

How can you love what you hate?

How can you hate what you love?

How can there be no boundaries between the two?

And how can one survive without the other?

LOVE.
