An Old Friend

Is there anything as humbling as catching up with an old friend after what seems like years slipping through our grasps?

We have both changed dramatically. Yet strangely and without design, our unique journeys have traveled similar paths, searched and moved closer to our centres, to our unique self.

The skills we share that brought us together in the first place are still there but now they only exist for a selected few, shunning the need to be wanted by all.

It’s a lovely feeling to realise that while it may feel like you are alone on the journey of life, you never really are. Some friends walk beside you on the journey, and the beautiful thing is that you have no idea that they are there until the moment they appear.

Thank you for your generosity, my friend; the friend I never really knew I had.
