I Want To Join The Circus
Why do I love this photo of you?
It could be the simple fact that it makes me smile, or perhaps it could be the fact that this is you. All of you, and that is enough for me, my friend.
I know you have a deep desire to understand all we think, feel, and believe, but lately, I have heard you say, “I don’t know.”
I hope you understand how brave it is not to know the answers; few do andmost never will. In a strange way, you are a caveman, but so am I. Maybe that’s why we get along. Some things make sense to us both, and some things are just a bridge too far.
Like me, you are far from perfect. But if you believe you are, then feel free to throw the first stone. Like me, you search for your truth, a truth that makes sense to you. A small glimmer of hope that will hold you in good stead for the rest of the day.
But the single thing that I treasure most about our friendship is that you will listen to me when I need it most. This gift seems like a lost treasure at times, living in a world where everyone knows everything.
Go slowly, my friend. Your path will emerge, and your talents will appear for all to see; and if that does not work out, the circus always awaits.
