A Tough Life

A TOUGH LIFE.jpg

We seem to have designed a tough life, an impossible existence of ever moving forward. Hoping one day to obtain what is largely unobtainable.

Peace, happiness, security, love, knowing, the list goes on.

As I travel, watching the world go by through my tainted view, I see countless examples of excruciating hard lives, abundant in the lost stares of those who once had a dream. But have seemed to settle for a reality of a different nature.

But the pain of these empty stares don’t tell the true story of their life, a journey lived on their terms, for what was best for them. Instead, it reveals the story of the endless cycle of try, chase, nearly there, you didn’t make it, this is as far as you go, this is your end.

It’s so strange that it is where we end. But what we sometimes overlook is the beauty of the ending; it is who we are, a reflection of our very essence. Yet, we are left with the overwhelming feeling of a lost happy expression that reminds us we didn’t make it.

The thing I don’t understand is, we didn’t make it where?

We all start in the same place. We all end in the same place. The only thing we can control is what happens in between.

So please just for a day, an hour, minute, second.

Live life for you.
